Join us for an afternoon of inspiration, motivation and insight about how resilience after trauma is being built right here in our community. Learn what others are doing and how you can join the movement because trauma matters.

1 – 2:15 p.m. Keynote Speaker Father Gregory Boyle

2:30 – 4 p.m. Trauma Informed Community (TIC) Talks 

Trauma Matters Omaha is working towards creating a trauma informed community with many of our local partners. We welcome the following speakers as they present a brief TIC Talk:

  • “Onion Farming: Peeling Back the Layers of Trauma” with Patrick Taylor and Rodney Evans of MAYS (Metro Area Youth Services)
  • “Let’s Stop the Spread of Violence” with Cecelia Creighton of YouTurn
  • “Marathon Mindset – Building Resilience as a Professional in the Field of Trauma” with Jason McGee of The Hope Center for Kids
  • “One Generation Can Change the World” with Barbara Jessing of Project Harmony

Please arrive by 12:45 p.m. Carpooling is encouraged.

Parking is available but limited. You may park in the Hope Center parking lot and the parking lot east of Hope Center, on the street, and at the New Beginnings Apostolic Church, just north of the Hope Center.
