You don’t have to be an emergency room nurse or a social worker to benefit from trauma-informed training. Parents, community volunteers, teachers – anyone is welcome to attend our trainings. It’s offered in a variety of settings and styles, so choose the one that is right for you.

Juvenile Justice Trauma Training

August 15, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

This training is designed specifically for those that work with juveniles who are also involved in the Juvenile Justice System. Participants will have the opportunity to not only learn about the definition and impact that trauma has on these youth, but also develop awareness of the unique experiences that juveniles encounter while involved in the system and the effect these have on their traumatic stress reactions.

Participants will:

  • Be able to define trauma.
  • Understand the effects of trauma on juveniles.
  • Gain introductory strategies for working with youth that may have a trauma history.
